Notice of Municipal Election
The following positions are to be voted upon in the Wallsburg Town 2025 Municipal Election:
- Town Council Member (Water System) - 2 year term
- Town Council Member (Town Hall and Roads) - 4 year term
- Town Council Member (Parks) - 4 year term

GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION DAY: November 4, 2025
Qualifications to Run for Municipal Office
- All interested qualified residents must file for candidacy in person with the Wallsburg Town Clerk.
- Candidate filing begins June 2, 2025 and ends June 6, 2025.
- A Declaration of Candidacy must be filed in person at the Wallsburg Town Hall between the hours of 8am and 5pm.
- A qualified resident of Wallsburg Town can become a candidate for office by filling out a 'Declaration of Candidacy' for themselves, or by having another resident of the town gather signatures on a Nomination Petition. No filing is required to file for candidacy if submitting a nomination petition.
- Qualifications for candidate are:
1. Must be a registered voter of Wallsburg Town. (US Citizen and 18 years old or older).
2. Must have resided in Wallsburg Town for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of election.
3. In case of annexation, any person who has resided within the territory annexed for the prescribed 12- month period is deemed to meet the residency requirements for candidates.
4. Any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this State until the right to vote or hold elective office has been restored.
5. A person may be a candidate for only office at any one election.

PRIMARY ELECTION
If the number of candidates for a particular municipal office does not exceed twice the number of persons needed to fill that office, a primary election for that will NOT be held and the candidates are considered nominated.
If the number of eligible candidates, including write-ins, does not exceed the number of offices for which the candidates have filed, and there are no other municipal ballot propositions, the Town Council may cancel the election and declare the candidates elected. UCA 20A-1-206.
WRITE-IN CANDIDATES
To become a valid write-in candidate for the election (after the dates to file declaration of candidacy have passed to be listed on the ballot), a person must file a 'Write-in Declaration of Candidacy' form with the Wallsburg Town Clerk in person no later than 65 days before the November election. The candidate must also qualify all the requirements of the office.

Wallsburg Town Is A By-Mail Voting Precinct
A By-Mail voting precinct means that all elections held are by mailing ballots to the registered voters of Wallsburg Town in October. Ballots must be post marked no later than the Friday prior to Election Day.
Register To Vote
You may register to vote in the State of Utah if you are:
- At least 18 years-old on or before the next election.
- A citizen of the United States.
- A resident of Utah for at least 30 days before the election.
An applicant is considered a resident of Utah if he or she has his principal place of residence within Utah and intends to continue to reside within Utah indefinitely.
Voter registration is valid for life, unless you:
- Move
- Change your Name, or
- Wish to affiliate with a different party

VOTER REGISTRATION DATES & DEADLINES
Every election has certain deadlines for registration.
Know what the specific dates and requirements are for your situation, so that you can be ready to cast your vote.
By Mail Registration Deadline
Voter registration forms must be postmarked at least 11 days before an election in order to be eligible to vote in the upcoming election. August 1, 2025 for the primary election and October 24, 2025 for the general election are the last day the County will accept mail-in voter registration forms. You may register to vote at a polling location by casting a provisional ballot. This would be at the Wasatch County Clerk's office.
Primary Election mail ballots will be sent to registered voters in July 2025 (if primary election is held).
General Election mail ballots will be sent to registered voters in October 2025.
Online Voter Registration

You need to have a current Utah Driver's License or ID Card in order to register using the online system.
You may use the voter registration website to:
- Register to vote in Utah
- Change your name or address on your voter registration record
- Affiliate with a party or change your party affiliation
Your Online Voter Registration must be submitted 15 days prior to the upcoming election to be eligible to vote in that election; however, you will not be eligible for Early Voting unless you register 30 days or more prior to that election.
*If you want to register online to vote, your address must match the address on file with the Driver License Division. If your address with them DLD is not current, you may update that online at their website by clicking here. This must be done before submitting your online voter registration. After updating your address please allow 24 hours before returning to register to vote. If your address is not current with DLD you may still use the online voter registration system, but you will be required to print the form, sign it and mail it in.
