Minutes of Panguitch City Library Board Meeting April 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM The Panguitch City Library Board meeting was held at the Panguitch City Library at 25 South 200 East. Those in attendance were Shannon Fawson, Jon Torgerson, Les Gripkey, Lucy Sarles, Kathy Peterson, Donna Osborn, and JoAnn Savage. Welcome Shannon Fawson Called the meeting to order at 7:02 pm. Approval Of the Agenda Jon Torgerson motioned, seconded by Les Gripkey, to approve the agenda. It was passed with all in favor. Approval of the Minutes Les Gripkey motioned, seconded by Jon Torgerson to approve the minutes from February 13, 2025. It was passed unanimously. Board Business Shannon welcomed Donna Osborn and JoAnn Savage. We all voted on Donna becoming a new member of the board and then Joann. All were in favor. We voted on Mary Tebbs, though she was not present and all were in favor of her also becoming a board member. We elected Shannon Fawson as the new president, Les Gripkey as vice-president, and JoAnn Savage as the secretary. All were in favor. Library Business Shelves are coming tomorrow. Lucy may ask for help in putting them up. She may get help from the jail or ask if some high school students could help. JoAnn mentioned that the high school students need to have hours of service to graduated and maybe she could put it on the just serve site. All of the grant money has been used up and all of the substitute money is also used up. The city has been willing to pay for substitutes to fill in even though the money is used from the library budget. Bookmobile Business Kathy is retiring and her last day is June 30th. Jacob is doing well and is planning to move to Kanab in the summer. Unfinished Business Shannon mentioned that we need to help Tracy with the food boxes on the Wednesdays. We will have a signup so that we will be in charge of a certain date, so we don't have to worry about it each week. The date we sign up for, we need to get the volunteers to help. Shannon will talk to Tracy about it and then contact everyone. Setting of the next meeting The next meeting will be August 21, at 7:00. Everyone was willing to meet that day. Adjournment Les moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:30.
