Project Description
A. The Project is identified as:
North Fork Special Service District
Stewart Falls Water Treatment Facility
Project No. 002700.C
B. Owner Objectives:
Using the CMAR construction delivery method is intended to support the
Owner's Project Team (OPT) with preconstruction, procurement and construction phase
services to develop and construct a Project design that meets the intended schedule, budget
and function.
C. Project Overview:
The District is seeking to built a new water treatment facility on Stewart
Road to increase the overall capacity of the drinking water. The district has installed a 12-
inch raw water line to supply the facility and a 8-inch distribution line to convey the finished
water into the distribution network., The CMAR firm will have to connect to the building.
Project Scope: The proposed improvements consist of:
1. Preselection of Filtration system and other long lead mechanical items associated with the project.
2. Furnishing and installing a Filtration System preselected.
3. Extending existing raw water piping to new filtration system(s).
4. Installing a new clearwell and baffle walls.
5. Installing distribution pipe and distribution pump.
6. Installing gas feed chlorine system.
7. Integrating new system controls into existing supervisory control and data acquisition
(SCADA) system, including updated control logic for treatment flow capacities and
feeding sodium hypochlorite (chlorine) for disinfection.
8. misc site plan work to restore the construction site and provide access to the building.
