Description/Agenda

The following positions are to be filled at the 2025 Pleasant View City's Municipal General Election: Office Term Mayor 4-yr term City Council 4-yr term City Council 4-yr term Qualifications for a candidate are (Utah Code §20A-9-203): 1. Registered voter*. 2. Resident of the Pleasant View for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the election. 3. No mentally incompetent individual, any individual convicted of a felony, or any individual convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored. How to become a Candidate: To become a candidate a Declaration of Candidacy shall be filed in person (or a designated agent with limitations per State Code) at Pleasant View City Hall, 520 W Elberta Drive, Pleasant View, Utah 84414 between June 2nd and June 6th. Pleasant View City Hall will be open between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday thru Friday. (There is no filing fee.) Election Dates: A primary election will be held, if necessary, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The general election will be held on November 4, 2025. * Utah Code §20A-2-101 states: A registered voter (1) is a citizen of the United States; (2) has been a resident of Utah for 30 days immediately before that election; (3) at least 18 years of age on the day of election, (4) and resides within the voting district in which the individual applies to register to vote. * Notice published April 25, 2025, according to Utah Code §10-3-301(2)(a).
