Pursuant to Section 10-3-301(2)(a) of the Utah Code, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Offices to be voted on in the Garden City Municipal General Election are:
- Mayor - 4-year term
- (2) Town Council Members - 4-year term each
A primary election will be held, if necessary, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The general election will be held on November 4, 2025.
A Garden City resident who is interested in becoming a candidate must file a Declaration of Candidacy between June 1 and June 6, 2025. Declarations of Candidacy Forms or Nomination Petitions must be filed in person, with the Garden City Recorder at the Garden City Office, 69 N Paradise Parkway, Building B, Garden City, Utah, during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm).
Candidate must meet the following qualifications:
1. Be a United States Citizen at the time of filing.
2. Be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
3. Be a legal resident of Garden City for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of the appointment.
4. Be a registered voter of the municipality.
5. Not be a convicted felon, unless the right to hold elective office has been restored.
