Amendment to Ordinance No. 2020-12-03A Thursday, June 18th, 2025 at 6:30 PM 409 North Main Street Mantua, Utah 84324 The Town of Mantua hereby announces a public comment period regarding the proposed change in Amendment to Ordinance No. 2020-12-03A.
This amendment repeals and replaces the existing Sewer Use Ordinance with the updated Mantua Sewer System Ordinance. As we move to vote on the amendment to Ordinance No. 2020-12-03A, it is crucial to note that this update will repeal the existing Sewer Use Ordinance and implement the new Mantua Sewer System Ordinance, effective June 18th, 2025, which includes significant changes to industrial pretreatment standards and connection requirements. Additionally, the revisions streamline the terminology throughout, such as renaming the Wastewater Treatment to the Wastewater Sewer System Ordinance, thereby enhancing clarity and compliance for all stakeholders. A meeting will be held on June 18th, 2025, at 6:30 PM where the Mantua Town Council will vote on the proposed changes. Residents and interested parties are encouraged to submit their comments regarding this matter. Sherita Schaefer, Town Recorder In accordance with Utah law, specifically the Utah Rulemaking Act (Title 63G, Chapter 3), the Town of Mantua, Utah, will be updating an ordinance. As part of this process, a mandatory 30-day public comment period is required prior to the finalization of any changes to the ordinance. The public comment period will begin on April 30, 2025, and will remain open for 30 days, concluding on May 30, 2025. During this time, residents and stakeholders are encouraged to review the proposed changes and submit their comments or feedback
