- IRON COUNTY, UTAH IRON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION & COUNTY COMMISSION PUBLIC HEARINGS - Proposed Zone Change and Conditional Use Permit The Iron County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing and consider action (recommendation for zone change and decision on the CUP) during their regularly scheduled meeting, on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Festival Hall located at 105 North 100 East, Cedar City, Utah. The County Commission will hold a public hearing and consider action at their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Iron County Courthouse located at 68 S 100 E, Parowan, Utah. The hearings are to receive public comment on an application for a zone change from Agriculture 20 Acre (A-20) to Intensive Agriculture (IA), and a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a Type VI Animal Operation (new staging lagoon for waste water) - Located near 1600 S 500 W, Beryl, UT. Applicant: Escalante Farms, LLC / Bar V Holdings, c/o Jared Holt Approximately 87.58 acres, - within S1/2 S1/2 Section 5, T36S, R16W, SLB&M, Iron County, UT (APN: E-1409-0001-0002 & E-1410-0003-1410-04), property currently zoned A-20 All interested persons are invited to attend.
