2025 WELLINGTON CITY MUNICIPAL ELECTION NOTICE Pursuant to Section 10-3-301(2)(a) of the Utah Code, notice is hereby given that the Municipal Offices in Wellington City, Utah to be voted on in the 2025 Municipal General Election are: - Mayor - to be elected at-large to serve a four-year term. - City Council Members - to be elected for the following seats: o 2 City Council members - four-year term o 1 City Council member - two-year term A primary election will be held, if necessary, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The general election will be held on November 4, 2025. A Wellington City resident who is interested in becoming a candidate must file a Declaration of Candidacy between June 2 and June 6, 2025. Declarations of Candidacy must be filed in person with the Wellington City Recorder at Wellington City Hall, 150 W Main Street Wellington, Utah, during normal business hours. Qualifications for a candidate are: (1) Be a United States citizen; (2) Be at least 18 years old; (3) be a registered voter of the municipality; (4) has been a legal resident of the municipality for a period of 12 consecutive months immediately before November 4, 2025 (UCA 20A-9-203(1)); (5) must not be mentally incompetent, convicted of a felony, convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise, unless their right to hold elective office has been restored.
