- NOTICE OF VERNAL CITY MUNICIPAL ELECTION FOR 2025 Pursuant to Utah Code 10-3-301(2)(a), notice is hereby given that the officials for Vernal City, Utah to be voted on in the 2025 Municipal General Election are: - Mayor 4 year term - City Council Members (2) . 4 year terms Each person seeking to become a candidate must file a Declaration of Candidacy Form in person with the City Recorders office between June 1 and June 6, 2025 during the hours of 8 am and 5 pm at 374 East Main, Vernal, Utah, or if the candidate will be out of the State during the entre filing period, contact the City Recorder for instructions to file (435) 789-2255. To qualify to run for office, you must: - Be a United States citizen at the time of filing; - Be a registered voter of Vernal City; - Be a resident of Vernal City for twelve (12) consecutive months prior to the election; - Not be a convicted felon unless the right to hold elective office has been restored. A primary election will be held, if necessary, on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. The General Municipal Election will be held on November 4, 2025.
