Town of Goshen Council Goshen Town Hall March 11, 2025 Town Council Meeting 7:00 PM A. Pledge of Allegiance- Randy Thomas B. Prayer - Steven Staheli C. Disclosures- N/A D. Public Input/ Reports, Non agenda items (limited to three minutes)- Sergeant Dutson spoke about the 2024 stats through the Utah County Sheriffs Office. In total there were 824 calls, some include, 175 911 calls, 395 deputy related, 250 non emergency, 281 calls that needed case numbers. More details include some that were, 19 agency assists, 1 alarm, 46 animal related calls, 5 assaults, 2 child abuse, 5 drug, 3 dead bodies, 1 DUI, 12 domestic violence-families, 5 juvenile, and 9 mental. He will get us a print out of this and email it over. 1. Approval of Minutes- January 14, 2025- Randy motions, JC seconds, all in favor. 2. Financial Statement Overview- this was a handout for the council to look over and see the financials, gear up for the upcoming budget meetings. Rachel said to review and come back with any questions and thoughts of amending if needed. 3. Announce the 2025 Goshen Water Share Bid Winner- There were two bids, these bids were opened amongst the council; Cody Hofer and Daniel Olsewski were to only two whom bid. Daniel Olsewski won the bid for $255.00 per share. 4. Council Updates Alisha stated that she got a new recreation director- Kaylee Johnson Randy mentioned we are approved for our mini ex, and that they will go and pick up the trailer for the new mini Excavator tomorrow morning. Steven mentioned that on the water project, they are looking still for a generator and filling station by the fire station and well as some more new fire hydrants still. Steven touched base on the trail; there hasn't been any new information lately. Soon there will be he feels. Could be late spring to start on this. Fire Truck still moving along, we are still owing a portion of the amount, but still looking for some more funding/grants. Possibly June will be the time we actually get the truck here. Steven talked about HWY 6, they will be adding a turn lane and leveling out the blind zone coming down the hill into the valley from Genola. They have had too many incidents there and they are looking to make it safer. Jonathan mentioned the PZ meeting that was held about property on north center street, 240 N center. Mentioned the guy whom owns the industrial zoned part of town, collaborating with Moffett (owner of trailer court), looking into storage units now, that will be enclosed into a warehouse type building. Owner wants to access industrial zone through the existing trailer court. More to come and be discussed on this as the PZ keeps meeting and speaking with Logan. Celebration- no rodeo this year, they will be doing that rodeo in June this time. The first meeting will be on March 25th. E. Adjournment-Randy motions, Jonathan seconds, all in favor.
