NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS SOUTH OGDEN CITY PLANNING COMMISSION Notice is hereby given that the South Ogden City Planning Commission will hold public hearings to receive and consider comments on the following items: 1. Proposed amendments to South Ogden Code (SOC) 10-1-5, 10-1-15, 10-21A-2, 10-21A-5, 10-21C-7, and 10-21C-14. The amendments will remove the authority and responsibility for zoning code compliance from the building official to the code compliance official. 2. Proposed amendments to SOC 10-2-1 and adding 10-14-25. The amendments will allow and regulate short-term rentals. 3. Proposed amendments to SOC 10-3-1 and the Planning Commission Policies and Procedures, allowing the Planning Commission Chair to vote on all matters. 4. Proposed amendments to the South Ogden City General Plan, amending the time line and tasks for the existing moderate income housing strategies. The public hearings to consider the proposed amendments will be held at 6:15 pm, or as soon as the agenda permits, during the South Ogden City Planning Commission meeting on Thursday, April 10, 2025. The meeting will be located at City Hall, 3950 Adams Ave., South Ogden, Utah, 84403, in the city council chambers and is open to the public. Anyone interested may attend and offer comment. Written comments may be submitted before the meeting by either delivering them in person to the office of the City Recorder, 3950 Adams Ave., South Ogden UT 84403, or emailing them to lkapetanov@southogdencity.gov. Emailed comments will only be accepted until 5 pm, Thursday, April 10, 2025. The public hearings will also be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@southogdencity and www.facebook.com/southogdencity. Comments for the public hearings can be submitted through the comment features on the different platforms at the appropriate time during the meeting.
