BUSINESS:
The Town Council has asked the Planning and Zoning board to re-look at removing the last sentence of Article 5, Section 503, Number 7 which states: No unattached garage, accessory building or outbuilding may be built on the front of the lot.
The Town Councils concern is safety, they want to ensure that an ambulance or fire truck will be able to get to the house with ease.The remedy the boards have come to agree on is a greater setback. A motion to change one of the side setbacks for a garage built on the front of a lot was made to be 20 feet unobstructed. This was proposed to the Town Council in the March meeting, and was sent back to Planning and Zoning for more discussion. A joint work session will be held to come to an agreement.
