Description/Agenda: Time & Date: 6 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2025 Location: Davis School District Auditorium, 45 East State Street, Farmington The public hearing will be held prior to the Davis School District Board of Education meeting the same evening. This will be an opportunity for community members to voice their opinions and concerns. Need for proposed changes: - Eagle Bay Elementary School, which offers Spanish immersion, is experiencing a decline of parents requesting an English-only option in grades 1-3. - The decline causes considerable difficulty in scheduling for grades 1-3 English- only classes at Eagle Bay, which would not allow those students to experience an effective educational experience. Proposed Solution: For the 2025-2026 school year, we propose that first, second and third-grade students in Eagle Bay's boundaries who are not enrolled in the imersion program attend Canyon Creek Elementary School. Transportation Students impacted by this change will be provided district bus transportation to Canyon Creek.
