Municipal Election Announcement
Notice is hereby given that Mayfield Town will hold elections for the following municipal offices:
Mayor - 4-year term
Councilmember - 2 seats, both 4-year term
Key Election Dates:
Municipal Primary Election Day: August 12, 2025 (if needed)
General Municipal Election Day: November 4, 2025

Candidate Qualifications and Filing Information
Qualified residents interested in running for office must file for candidacy with the Mayfield Town Clerk during normal business hours which are Tuesday-Wednesday 9am-4pm and Thursday 2-5pm, or by emailing mayfieldtownutah@gmail.com or calling 435-851-7030.
Filing Period:
- June 2, 2025 through June 6, 2025 by 5:00 PM. (UCA 10-3-301)
How to File:
- File a Declaration of Candidacy in person, or
- Submit a Nomination Petition signed by residents of Mayfield Town.
Filing Fee:
- No filing fee is required.
Candidate Qualifications:
To be eligible for municipal office, a candidate must meet the following criteria:
1. Registered Voter in Mayfield Town: Must be a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old.
2. Residency Requirement: Must have resided within Mayfield Town for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the election date.
o In cases of annexation, residency within the annexed area for 12 months satisfies this requirement.
3. Disqualifications:
o Refer to UCA 20A-9-203(c) for disqualifications
4. A person may only file for one office per election.

I, the undersigned, the duly appointed and acting Clerk/Recorder for the Town of Mayfield, hereby certify that copies of this notice were posted on the Utah Public Notice Website and at the following three public locations within the municipality on this 29 day of April, 2025:
