Cannonville Town Council Meeting Minutes March 2025 Cannonvillle town held their regular Monthly Board Meeting Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in the town Hall. The meeting began at 6:00pm. Public in Attendance: Teresa & Geo Thompson, Marty Rich, Shantel Manning, Jean & Ken Hall, Mark Nelson, Dallas Clark, Cole Twitchell, Quinn Willis, Pete Jensen, Cherie Scoffield, & Rhiannon Garrard. Board Members: Stewart Ivie, Melanie Ott, & Alma Fletcher, John Morreale absent Pledge: Bill Scoffield Prayer: Melanie Ott Reading and Approval of Agenda: The agenda was read and adopted. Motion by Stewart Ivie, 2nd by Melanie Ott, all were in favor. Reading and Approval of minutes: February 19, 2025 town council minutes were reviewed and approved, Motion to approve was by Melanie Ott, 2nd by Stewart Ivie, all were in favor. Mayor's Items -Some additional comments about the Promise Rock town Hall meeting ensued. Shantel Manning was asked about the petitions and surveys. She indicated over 400 people had responded. Marty Rich commented about SITLA and the pending sale he read about in the newspaper a couple of weeks ago. Seemed misleading to him. Ken Hall suggested the Town of Cannonville reach out to 'Autumn' from the Piute Mgmt Assoc (435) 704-4054 about everything that's happening with Promised Rock. -The dumpster has been repositioned -Work on the 2025-26 Budget will begin in earnest in April and May, trying to get a better understanding of how it all works. Department heads will need to submit. Departmental Reports: Planning: The Pete Jensen RV Park annexation request was approved pending the emails from the adjacent property owners. Details will be submitted to the Lt Governor's office week of 24 March 2025. Water: Alma reported a potential electrical issue had been found and fixed Sunday afternoon. The other two connections will be inspected and repaired. Fire: Earth Day cleanup will be April 26th, including the firehouse. Stewart Ivie asked about grants for upgrades. The Sunrise Engineering rep Trent Brown has been asked to look into some project money. Roads: The Mayor indicated he's called the county for road repairs and patching, possibly in May: time and materials Parks: The urinals have been received for the Park Restroom upgrades; plumber will be in touch to schedule the work. Waiting to hear back from the painter about refreshing the kitchen. Adjourned: 7:28pm; next meeting April 16th, motion to adjourn by Stewart Ivie, 2nd by Melanie Ott; approved.
