OSTA Assistant Director Report (Reported by Greg):
Indoor Arena railings have been fully painted, we have some touch ups to do.
Young Guns event - reconfigured indoor arena pens to accommodate event, and adjusted pens after event.
Banner project complete
Flag project complete (waiting on Interlocal Fire Agency logo to be able to order their flag).
Fence line at the entry way to the covered stalls is fairly complete with a couple items still needing to be done. Couple of fence post still need to be set and a section of fence needs to be welded. The dumpster was also moved to the other side of the fence line. This will allow for better access for the event holder.
Several repairs after bull event. Some welding needs to be done on the striping lanes, wood in the sliders was replaced in multiple locations, some slider door repairs are needed, and some repairs to the loading ramp.
OSTA Director Report (Angie):
Getting ready to start the Barn H project. We have received some donations from local citizens and merchants to help make this project happen. Ean Ellis held a roping clinic and donated his proceeds, The Paint Center donated 15 gallons of paint, and Walker True Value has donated some building materials.
Update - Archery Range - Tree roots have been burned, rocks and tires have been removed. Waiting on Chris Carter to finish dirt berm for fencing installation.
Motorized blinds have been ordered for the indoor arena to replace the old white/yellow vinyl ones.
Indoor arena heaters - Had to call Moab Heat & Cool out to service the radiant heaters they were not igniting properly. Repairs were made and looking at schedules to have heaters taken apart and cleaned.
Lobby Doors scheduled for replacement on the 18th.
Waiting for A & E to install a disconnect in sound room, once that is complete Moab Heat & Cool will proceed with installation of A/C unit.
Water should be turned on around April 1st with a scheduled 30% cut back this year.

Room), Open Ride (Indoor & Outdoor arena's - multiple dates), Equestrian Community Night (obstacle course, barrels, poles), Community Indoor Soccer Night, 4H Horsemanship/Livestock meetings, D's Adventures, PRCA Rodeo Queen Clinic and Practice, PRCA Drill Team Practice, Young Guns Rodeo Co.
March - Canyonlands PRCA Rodeo Meeting, Rec Board meeting (Conf. Room), Open Ride (Indoor & Outdoor arena's - multiple dates), 4H Horsemanship/Livestock meetings, D's Adventures, PRCA Drill Team Practice, Fast Pitch Elite Softball, Moab Youth Soccer, Skate Moab, Moab Run the Rocks (Pavilion), Moab Consignment Auction (parking lots), Team Rubicon.
Not to be forgotten, will discuss when updates are available:
Outdoor Arena - Maintenance and construction upgrade stage 1 of 3 (1 arena completed, 2 roping boxes & steer run completed, 3 Cover over arena, lights, bleachers, announcer's booth, wind breaks, and bucking chutes) 'Growing Pains' Need to source funding, out growing current set-up. Need more pens for rough stock, holding pen for broncs, additional pens at main arena. UPDATE - Working on a presentation to County Commission for a request for matching funds for a full replacement of the outdoor arena system. The Special Service Recreation Board has allotted OSTA $85,000 in arena project funding for 2025.
OSTA Development Master Plan- UPDATE - Angie & Greg are scheduling regular meetings to devote dedicated time to the master plan and hope to have a rough presentation in the near future.
