Notice is hereby given The Mayor and City Council of Helper City, A Municipal Corporation will hold a regular meeting on the 6th day of March 2025. At the Council Chambers 19 South Main, Helper, Utah. The meeting shall begin at 6:00 pm. Agenda 1- Call to order. 2- Pledge of Allegiance. 3- Roll call. 4- Public Comment. 5- Approval of the minutes from February 6, 2025. 6- Introduction of Billie Heilesen as new City Recorder. 7- Introduction of Traci Bishop as new City Treasurer. 8- Discussion and possible approval of Ordinance 2025-01 an ordinance amending and updating the Helper City subdivision code to comply with state standards. 9- Discussion and possible approval of pro-rated refund of beer and business licenses for Swifts Stop and Shop and Handy Mart by Chris Pierce. 10- Discussion and possible approval of the use of the Walt Borla baseball field for a local baseball competition team by Blake Allen. 11- Discussion and possible approval of a payment plan for Norma Valdez on expense incurred from Rocky Mountain Power disconnecting/reconnecting power for a meter box upgrade. 12- Discussion and possible approval of appointing Ashley Vincent to the Helper City Library Board. 13- Discussion and possible approval of Public Works purchasing fertilizer for the Parks & Cemetery in the amount of $2879.52. 14- Discussion and possible approval of the Police Dept. leasing two vehicles to replace a totaled vehicle and an inoperable vehicle. 15- Discussion and possible approval of the Police Dept. to surplus the 2017 Dodge Charger. 16- Closed session-Security 17-Possible approval of the Police Dept. installing new surveillance camera system at the public safety building in the amount of $8400.00 to be purchased outright or $2000.00 with a monthly leasing option of $207.11. Reports only from Council Members and Department Heads. Adjournment: The public is invited to submit questions or comments 24 hours before the meeting on agenda items only by calling (435) 472-5391 or emailing svasquez@helpercity.gov. I, Shaley Vasquez Helper City Deputy Recorder, do hereby certify the above notice and agenda was posted on the 4th day of March 2025 at City Hall, helpercity.gov, and the Utah Public Notice Website. The agenda was provided to the media at least 24 hours before such a meeting.
