Salt Lake City Notice of Intent to Amend a General Plan
As per State Code 10-9a-203, Salt Lake City is providing this notice regarding Salt Lake City's intent to update the Northwest Community Plan.
The areas affected by the general plan update extend from approximately I-80 on the southern border to the City Boundary on the North, 2200 W on the western edge, to I-15 on the east. This plan will no longer include the Salt Lake City International Airport.
The plan will provide a vision for Northwest area for the next ten years and align with the Citywide General Plan, Plan Salt Lake.
The City seeks information to consider in the process of preparing, adopting, and implementing the proposed general plan, including, but not limited to:
(i) impacts that the use of land proposed in the proposed general plan may have; and
(ii) uses of land within the City that affected entities are considering that may conflict with the proposed general plan. The City is in the initial outreach stage in developing the general plan and no specific land use plans have been proposed at this time.
Information regarding the plan update, including upcoming opportunities for community participation, can be found on the City's webpage at the following link: www.slc.gov/planning/northwestplan-update/
The City staff person managing the process, Cassie Younger, can be reached at 801-535-6211 or cassie.younger@slc.gov. If you would like to be included in future notices regarding this plan, please contact the City staff person noted above.
