1. Welcome a. Mark Nelson, Board Chairman b. Approval of Minutes from November 4, 2024 Minutes Motion: Lisa 2nd: Scott Approved 2. Review Financials a. Review of Finances and Check Detail/ Audit Ben Probst We are compliant with the State and the State progress assessment (annually done). No issue with our budget or spending b. 2025 Budget Public Hearing Motion: Erik 2nd: Lisa Approved The board asked for a summary of 2024 vs 2025 budgets. TRT allocation for 2025 will be reduced by $500,000. Going forward, the budget will be based on income from the previous year. An excess of $400,00 from the 2024 budget that will be used as $200,000 in 2025 budget and $200,000 in the 2026 budget. The $100,000 contribution from Solider Hollow could not be cut. Mark suggested we go back to the county for that $100,000. The marketing budget was cut $45,000. Capital Ex/Maintenance was cut by $92,000. The Chamber will be billed for Operations and Staff wages. Video Creation budget will be higher than previous year but a lot of footage is being taken so it can be used over and over for future videos. Public Relations Update - Jessica T 13 Fams on the books between now and February with 2 pending b. Tourism Indicators - Emailed c. UVU Wasatch Presentation 4. Economic Development/Chamber of Commerce a. Heber City Square Review b. Video review 5. Board Reports (If needed): a. Scott Phillips - Heber City Update Scott: Get a firm plan on how we are going to finance the art center. Invite Arts Board to a meeting so that HVTED can get a better idea on how we can help. b. Corbin Gordon - Update c. Jared Wright - Chamber Update d. Lisa Orme - Midway City Update e. Erik Rowland - Wasatch County Update f. Mark Nelson - Wasatch County Update Railroad has finished half of their trains for Christmas. Added another luxury car that has 27 seats. g. Jason Whittaker -TAB Report h. Melissa Daymont - DWS January 9th Job Fair. 3.5% unemployment rate in Wasatch County. Higher end and Senior level positions are struggling to be filled. 6. 2024 Meeting Schedule - Second, Monday at 3:30 December 9 - Budget Hearing
