Public Notice: 2025-2029 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Comment Period and Public Hearing West Valley City (WVC) is looking for community input on distributing federal community development grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development over the next five years (2025-2030) and for the Program Year 2025-2026 Annual Action Plan. These funds assist low to moderate income city residents and areas. As part of the Five-Year Consolidated Plan. The WVC is currently developing this plan. This community input process offers residents an opportunity to share their opinions on which programs would most benefit our residents. February 3, 2025-March 12, 2025, the WVC Grants Division will be accepting comments, hosting public meetings, and holding stakeholder meetings. The feedback gathered will help the WVC assess the most effective ways to invest CDBG funds in the community. A Public Meeting open to all residents and area stakeholders - Date: March 12, 2025 - Time: 2:00-4:30 PM - Location: Community Preservation Community Room - 4522 West 3500 South, WVC, UT 84120 A 30-day public comment period on the draft Five-Year Consolidated Plan and 2025 Annual Action Plan will open March 31, 2025, and will close May 6, 2025. To obtain a copy of the draft plan, please contact the City Grants Division at 801-963-3280 or peggy.daniel@wvc-ut.gov. - Public comments on the draft plan may be sent by email to peggy.daniel@wvc-ut.gov - Written public comments may be sent by USPS mail or drop off your written comments addressed to: CDBG 2025-2030, Grants Division, 4522 West 3500 South, WVC, UT 84120 Public Hearing to be held May 6, 2025, at 6:30 pm. The draft Consolidated Plan will be presented to City Council on May 6th, 2025, at 6:30 pm in City Council Chambers, 3600 Constitution Blvd, WVC, UT 84119. At this time, a Public Hearing will be held on the draft 2025-2029 Five-Year Consolidated Plan and 2025 Annual Action Plan. After the Public Hearing the City Council will vote on the plans.
