JOIN THE DUCHESNE CITY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
Duchesne City is looking for community-driven and passionate individuals to serve on the Planning & Zoning Commission, a vital group responsible for shaping the future of our city. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on Duchesne City's growth and development.
As a Planning & Zoning Commission member, you will:
- Attend at least two Commission meetings per month.
- Review and evaluate proposed land use projects, zoning requests, and new construction plans.
- Discuss and recommend updates to zoning ordinances, regulations, and policies.
- Provide thoughtful input on planning and development in all zoning areas.
- Collaborate with other Commission members to make well-informed recommendations to the City Council.
Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Duchesne City.
- Interest in rural planning, zoning, and community development.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting.
The city will provide the required 4-hour training for all new Planning & Zoning Commission members to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to succeed in this role.
