FAYETTE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY DECEMBER 5, 2024
LOCATED AT FAYETTE TOWN HALL AT 5:15PM
FACILITATED BY MAYOR JED BARTHOLOMEW
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting was called to order at 5:24pm
ROLL CALL: Jed Bartholomew, Mayor, Bryan Lyman, Breanne Mashek, Melissa Mellor, Keith Bartholomew
PRAYER was given by Melissa Mellor
1) REVIEW MINUTES: The Clerk forgot the November 7, 2024 Minutes, so we did the November 19, 2024. Keith made the motion to accept the December 19, 2024 minutes. Bryan seconded the motion. Minutes were passed.
2) REVIEW EXPENDITURES: Bryan made the motion to accept the Expenditures. Melissa and Breanne seconded the motion. The Expenditures passed.
3) WATER REPORT: JORDAN NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT SOME ITEMS HE NEEDS TO BUY: Jordan wasn't able to attend the meeting, but he talked to Jed and the clerk. The lower well keeps shutting off, so we may have to replace the meter again. Jordan needs to buy some equipment to fix the problem. He didn't say what needs to be replaced but the Council said to get what he needs and then get the receipts to the clerk.
We have had some people get behind on their bills again, so we sent out notices to 8 notices to the delinquent people.
CITIZEN'S CONCERNS:
Sherry had to take one dog to the pound. Nobody claimed it and it started to annoy the other dogs in town.
Taylor Mellor and Jay Bartholomew have volunteered their time on Monday to put the decorations on the poles on Main Street.
The Clerk is going to meet with Rocky Mountain to see if we can get new power poles in town. Maybe some day we can get new poles and be able to light up the decorations like they are supposed to be.
TOWN COUNCIL ITEMS: Jed talked to us about the meeting he attended today. The CIB has given us a Fully Funded Grant up to $89,000 to purchase a Generator and trailer for the Town. For the water tanks and for the Town if needed. We need the Generator for back-up if the Electricity goes out. We also need to find the shut-off valves in Town and it will take some surveying to find them and then mark the valves.
