January 22, 2025 **NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING** A public hearing of the Vernal City Planning Commission has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. to consider a rezone request from Jones Leasing Co, for property located at 567 North Vernal Avenue, Vernal, Utah to rezone the property from R-4 Residential to C-2 Heavy Commercial; and A public hearing of the Vernal City Planning Commission has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 5:30 P.M. to consider amending the Vernal City Municipal Planning and Zoning Code, Chapter 16.48.030 - C-2 and CC-1 Planned Commercial Zones (Uses) and Chapter 16.50.020 CP-2 and CCP-1 Planned Commercial Zones (Uses) to include the following: Day Care, Short Term Rentals and Barber/Beauty Shop. Later, the Vernal City Council will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 6:00 P.M. to consider the final recommendation of the Vernal City Planning Commission regarding the above rezone request. The public hearing and the public meeting will be held in the Vernal City Council Chambers at 374 East Main Street, Vernal, Utah. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals needing special accommodation during this meeting should notify Braeden Christofferson at (435) 789-2255 at least five (5) days before the hearing and meeting.
