Description/Agenda: Garden City Cemetery Board Opening The Garden City Cemetery District is requesting applications for the Cemetery Board. Applicants must be at least twenty-one years old and live within the district. This is a minimum four-year appointment and requires the board members to attend at least quarterly board meetings. Board members must complete an on-line Local District Board Member Training session. The cemetery has no full-time employees, so board members will also be expected to assist with grave location prior to burials, meeting with plot purchasers, overseeing the maintenance crew, etc. It would be desirable if the applicant had previous board or team experience, but it is not a mandatory requirement. If the position cannot be filled with a primary resident, a secondary resident may be considered.
