The Utah Board of Oil, Gas and Mining meets Wednesday, December 4 at 9 a.m. at the Department of Natural Resources building at 1594 West North Temple in Salt Lake City. Opportunity for public comment Board members will hear the following matters after the briefing session: 1. Docket No. 2024-070 Cause No. 132-64 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Konopatch UT 5-19 3-1-30-31-7H Well, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 30 and 31, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the Hearing Examiner from the proceeding on November 20, 2024.) 2. Docket No. 2024-071 Cause No. 132-65 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Knoll 13-10 4-2-10-3-17H Well, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 3 and 10, Township 4 South, Range 2 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the Hearing Examiner from the proceeding on November 20, 2024.) 3. Docket No. 2024-072 Cause No. 472-04 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Wyasket UT 13-12 3-1-12-1-47H Well, in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of Sections 1 and 12, Township 3 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Uintah County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the Hearing Examiner from the proceeding on November 20, 2024.) 4. Docket No. 2024-073 Cause No. 602-02 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of OVINTIV USA INC. for an order pooling interests, including the compulsory pooling of the interests of certain non-consenting owners in the Lamb UT 1-16 4-1-10-3-7H Well in the drilling unit established for the production of oil, gas and associated hydrocarbons from the Lower Green River-Wasatch Formations comprised of all of SECTIONS 3 and 10 Township 4 South, Range 1 West, U.S.M., Duchesne County and Uintah County, Utah. (The Board will consider the recommended findings of fact and conclusions of law generated by the Hearing Examiner from the proceeding on November 20, 2024.) 5. Docket No. 2024-054 Cause No. C0250005-COCH07132024 - In the matter of ALTON COAL DEVELOPMENT, LLC's First Amended Petition for Review of Cessation Order CH07132024 Coal Hollow Mine, Kane County, Utah. 6. Docket No. 2024-064 Cause No. 075-04 - In the Matter of the Request for Agency Action of COASTAL PLAINS ENERGY, INC., for an order suspending application of the Board's Orders in Cause Nos. 243-1 and 243-4 insofar as they pertain to Section 15, Section 16, the NE1/4 of Section 21, Section 22, the S1/2 of Section 23, and the N1/2 of Section 27 of Township 15 South, Range 9 East, SLM, Carbon County, Utah. (This matter was continued from the October 23, 2024, Board Hearing.) 7. Docket No. 2024-074 Cause No. 076-05 - In the Matter of the Notice of Agency Action requesting the Board issue an order forfeiting the bond covering wells and facilities identified as API Numbers 43-007-30122, 43-007-30159, 43-007-30162, 43-007-30163, 43-007-30164, 43-007-30589, 43-007-30596, 43-007-30659, 43-007-30662, 43-007-30673, 43-007-30717, 43-007-30733, 43-007-30734, 43-007-30735, 43-007-30736, 43-007-30768, 43-007-30786, 43-007-31211, 43-007-31212, 43-007-31213, 43-007-31214, 43-007-31452, 43-007-31453, 43-007-50179, 43-013-32308, 43-049-30024 and directing the Division to orphan, plug, and/or reclaim the well sites and facilities. 8. Docket No. 2024-075 Cause No. 997-03 - In the Matter of Formal Rulemaking to amend the R649-9 Waste Management and Disposal Rule to the Exploration and Production Recycling Facilities Rule.
