OSTA Assistant Director Report (Reported by Greg):
Sports Complex update - All fertilizer programs have been applied for the year, and we have begun winterizing. The irrigation water was turned off on 10-31-24.
The trees in the Admin parking lot had an illness/damage due to weather and are being treated. We had to cut back some limbs and apply a material to help them. We are hoping not to lose them.
Over the last several months we have had to disassemble the north warm up arena to make additional pens, and then disassemble those pens to make a steer run to accommodate multiple events.
The stage stayed consistently busy throughout the summer and into the fall with the last event for the season wrapping up last weekend with the Folk Festival. The stage was used frequent enough that it required additional scheduled maintenance and cleaning days from OSTA. This requires the stage to be fully assembled and takes a good portion of the day to complete.
Our newer UTV (Mule Kawasaki) was out of commission for over a month with a warranty problem that required us to take it back to the dealership in Richfield.
Removal of trees that were posing an extreme hazard in the east area of the property.
Had an overnight boarder come in with 7 head of horses that were all sick and fevering. Immediately quarantine the area and got them veterinary care. This barn remained closed for 10 days and was treated with Chlorhexidine. No other livestock were affected.
New sharp container boxes have been purchased and installed through out the property. The old ones were becoming sun rotted and were beginning to fall off.
Two water line breaks (in the ring main) right before the water was turned off. We almost made it the whole year with no water line breaks!
OSTA Director Report (Angie):

Greg and I went and met with the Black Hawk Arena Director and received a tour of the facility.
