Minutes-Mammoth Creek Special Service Fire District DBA - Mammoth Creek Volunteer Fire District (MCVFD) Saturday, November 2, 2024-9AM MST at the Fire Station. Call to Order: 9:15 AM acting chairman, Dale Askew, called the meeting to order. Present: Paul Martino (electronically), Dale Askew, Carl Radomski, Richard West, Clayton Carr Others Present: Fire Chief Ensor Absent: Board Members Dave Johnson and Pam Borgos Review Last Meetings Minutes: Acting Chairman Askew asked the board members if they had any concerns or issues with the minutes from the last meeting and after hearing none he called for a motion to approve the minutes as stated.Carl Radomski moved for approval with a second from Clay Carr. Motion passed. Financial Reports: Dale Askew presented the Interim Financial Report with Comparison With Current Year Budget amounts for the period ended October 31, 2024. Clay Carr motioned for approval of the financial reports as presented with a second from Carl Radomski. Motion passed. Public Hearing re: Tentative Budget Request as submitted by the Fire Chief: Fire Chief Ensor submitted her tentative budget request for the 2025 budget year at the Board's previous meeting held on September 1, 2024 for the Boards review and approval. Acting chairman Askew closed the general meeting and opened a Public Hearing on the 2025 budget request. After a lengthy review and discussion of each line item in the request a few minor changes were made by several Board members. Askew closed the public hearing and reopened the general meeting in order to vote and called for a motion to approve the budget request subject to the changes requested during the public hearing. Clay Carr motioned for approval of the 2025 budget request including all the changes made during the hearing with a second from Carl Radomski. Motion passed. Chief Ensor Items and Concerns: Fire Chief Ensor informed the board that she was having difficulty with the new radios in getting them to work properly. In addition the other Fire Districts in the area are having similar problems so the Chief will take this up with other chiefs at the next Chiefs' meeting. Board 2025 Meeting Schedule: Saturday May 24, 2025 immediately following the Mammoth Creek Homeowners meeting which begins at 10:00AM MST Memorial Day Weekend. Sunday August 31, 2025 9AM MST .Labor Day Weekend. Saturday November 1, 2025 9 AM MST The Board will conduct a Public Hearing on the 2026 Tentative Budget Request. Adjourn: 10:15AM
