DOCUMENT 00 11 16 INVITATION TO BID Date: October 24, 2024 Owner: Cache County Phone: 435-755-1639 ATTN: Matt Phillips Email: matt.phillips@cachecounty.gov 179 North Main St, Suite 305 Logan, UT 84321 Engineer: Franson Civil Engineers Phone: 435-754-7661 ATTN: Bill Young Email: byoung@fransoncivil.com 459 South Main St, Suite 200 Logan, Utah 84321 General Notice Cache County (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Canal Crossing Improvement Project Bids for the construction of the Project must be submitted before 12:00 pm MST on Thursday, November 14, 2024, to Franson Civil Engineers via the online electronic bid opening service QuestCDN vBid (see www.fransoncivil.com/project-bidding). After which time, the service will automatically close and tabulate Bids. Bids not received by the indicated time will not be opened. The Project includes the following Work: The removal of existing culverts, headwalls, and inlet/outlet structures; excavation and backfill for new box culverts and concrete pipe; excavation and backfill of roadway; excavation and construction of new pavement section; removal and replacement of existing irrigation turnouts and associated piping, boxes, headgates and slide gates; removal of existing storm drainage system(s); and the construction of new storm drainage systems at three base bid and two alternate bid road crossing locations along the Wellsville Mendon Conservation District Canal. Work shall also include required coordination with existing Utility Companies to locate and remove or relocate Utilities as needed for construction of project at each location. Owner anticipates that the Project's total base bid price will be approximately $1,000,000 - $1,300,000. Owner requires the Project to be substantially completed no later than June 30, 2026. The Contractor shall have seven months to complete the project once construction begins. The substantially complete date shall then become the date seven months from the official construction start date of the project, but in no case can the substantially complete date extend beyond June 30, 2026. Obtaining the Bid Documents Bid Documents will be available on Thursday, October 24, 2024. The Issuing Office for the Bid Documents is the office of the Engineer.
