- Notice of Public hearing on a Proposed Rate Increase for the Jordan Basin Improvement District - Service Area 3. The Board of Trustees for the Jordan Basin Improvement District hereby gives notice that it will hold a public hearing to receive public comment in regards to an increase in sanitary sewer charges on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 6 p.m. at the Jordan Basin Improvement District Office, 1253 West Jordan Basin Lane, Bluffdale, Utah Under consideration is a proposal to increase monthly sanitary sewer charges beginning January 1, 2025 from $33.00 per month to $38.00 for residential customers who reside in Service Area 3. This Service Area includes residents in Draper that reside near the Suncrest development and are part of Utah County (see map below). Also under consideration are increases to various administrative and development fees to cover District costs. The reason for the proposed rate increase in monthly sewer charges is in response to Timpanogos Special Service District increasing their rates by 15% beginning January 1 2025. As this area is serviced by TSSD, that cost is paid by residents in Service Area 3. All interested person appearing will be heard. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, persons needing communicative aids and services for the meeting should call the District at 801-571-1166 giving at least 48 hours advance notice of their needs.
