FAYETTE TOWN COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY September 5, 2024
LOCATED AT FAYETTE TOWN HALL AT 7PM

CALL TO ORDER: 7:06pm
ROLL CALL: Jed Bartholomew, Mayor, Rusty Jones, Melissa Mellor, Bryan Lyman, Keith Bartholomew
PRAYER: Rusty Jones
1) REVIEW MINUTES: Bryan made the motion to accept the Minutes. Rusty seconded the motion. Motion was passed. The Minutes were accepted.
2) REVIEW EXPENDITURES: Melissa made the motion to accept the Expenditures. Bryan seconded the motion. The motion passed. The Expenditures were accepted.
3) VOLUNTEERS FOR THE POLLS ON NOVEMBER 5TH : The County Clerk is asking for help from the Town Council or other volunteers to help out with the Election on November 5th. Rusty offered if he is still here.
4) WATER PROJECT: We need to verify if anyone has any lead in their water pipes by the end of the year. Jayden will help us with this project.
5) WATER REPORT: John Chartier reported no more points on our Town's water system. Jordan needs to take all of the tanks up to the Spring. Jordan will do an overflow by the end of the month.
6) P&Z REPORT: No meeting this month.
CITIZEN'S CONCERNS
Water bills that are delinquent, get them up to date. We will take care of them on the 17th.
Might need to close the park bathroom for the winter.
The citizens are wondering what they can do about a sign that was put up on a fence that is inappropriate.
The Mayor said that unfortunately we cannot do anything. They have the right to free speech.
TOWN COUNCIL ITEMS:
JED BARTHOLOMEW, MAYOR: Office, Cemetery, Grants
BRYAN LYMAN: P&Z, Park, Weeds; The Bathroom is not needs to be taken care of because the door is not shut and the lights are on. We also need two new swings for the park.
MELISSA MELLOR: Newsletter, Animal Control, Water
RUSTY JONES: Cemetery, Website, Flags; Rusty will put the flags up on the 11th and leave them up for Bob Bown.
KEITH BARTHOLOMEW: Emergency Preparedness, Celebrations, Fire
Pay raise to keep the Resource Officer at the School? We might need to pay more to keep him there.
Certificates-NOW!! Please take the test!
We need to talk about our Christmas dinner on December 5, 2024. We will talk about it next month.

Melissa made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Bryan seconded the motion. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:07pm.
