SUMMARY OF WEED BOARD ACTION
MEETING-CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Matt Tippets called the meeting to order at 1:30 PM
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
The supervisors reviewed the August 14 minutes. Action Item: AJ motioned to approve the minutes seconded by Bryan and the motion carried.
FINANCIAL REPORT
Received grant draw money so the weed fund is up to around $66,000 in FUND 80.
WEED BUSINESS
Spraying is in progress, and technology has been updated. MapFast uses GPS by phone and allows landowners to see what has been sprayed and what hasn't. This also helps to limit overspraying and clarifies to everyone involved the areas and amounts that have been sprayed. The side-by-side has allowed for spraying in areas previously difficult to get to.
Darrell offered new information on the reseeding grant the board is thinking of pursuing in conjunction with the weed board. Next meeting the application will be reviewed to make sure all is understood in the conservation meeting.
Weed spraying citizens should now bring receipts directly to the conservation board for reimbursement rather than through the weed board. Brock will write up a form explaining the process to be reimbursed up to 50% by the conservation board for weed spray expenditures so that confusion is eliminated.
Bryan motioned to adjourn the meeting and AJ second. Meeting was adjourned at 2:00 PM.
