I Cindy Turner, the duly appointed Recorder for Kanosh Town, UT hereby certify that I have reviewed the Petition for the Whitaker Annexation. Annexation containing approximately 7.062 acres, (more or less) and signed by Ray Whitaker and Diane Whitaker. To view the Petition, legal descriptions and map please come to the Kanosh Town Offices, 55 North Main Street, Kanosh Ut 84637 or call 435-759-2415 to request the information. The Petition for Annexation was filed with this office on May 6, 2024. I find that the petition meets the requirements for annexation as provided by Utah State law, (subsections 10-2-403 (2),(3) and (4), U.C.A.) The Kanosh Town Council received the Certification of the Petition on July 10, 2024. The City Council may grant this annexation unless a written protest to the annexation petition is filed with the Millard County Boundary Commission at 50 South Main, Fillmore, Utah 84631 and the Kanosh Town Recorder within 30 days after the notice of certification is received which would be October 23, 2024. The legislative body or governing board of an affect3ed entity may legally protest this annexation by filing as instructed above.
