Description/Agenda

CITY OF WENDOVER, UTAH NOW HIRING VOLUNTEER FIRE CHIEF Work involves participating in duties of protecting life and property through the performance of firefighting and emergency service activities. Participate in the operation of apparatus and the performance of hazardous tasks under emergency conditions which may require strenuous exertion under such handicaps as smoke, fire, heat and cramped surroundings. Responds to alarms of fire or other emergencies. Participates in training sessions. Various rescue situations, accidents and natural or other catastrophes. Performs upkeep of department apparatus, equipment, and station. The examples enclosed, shall not be construed as a complete listing of miscellaneous, incidental or substantively similar duties which may be assigned during the normal operation of the Fire Department. Experience: No experience is required. Volunteer Firefighters are expected to complete and pass an approve Firefighter 1 program within two years after joining the department. Education: High School diploma or GED is required. License: Must possess and maintain a valid Utah's CDL driver license. Other: English Proficient; Computer Literate INTERESTED INDIVIDUALS MAY MAKE APPLICATION AT THE CITY OF WENDOVER OFFICES, 920 EAST WENDOVER BOULEVARD, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 8:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M. OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED ON HOLIDAYS. The City of Wendover, Utah will receive applications until 5:00 P.M. Monday September 30, 2024 THE CITY OF WENDOVER, UTAH IS AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
