Notice of Public Hearing To receive comments regarding the Creation of Resident Parking Permit Area #11 Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at 4:00 PM Plaza 349, Room 175 349 South 200 East, Salt Lake City, Utah Dear Washington Street and Jefferson Street resident or property owner, A formal public hearing will be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at 349 South 200 East, Room 175, Salt Lake City to receive public comments regarding the creation of the Resident Parking Permit (RPP) Area #11 in the Central 9th Neighborhood on a portion of Washington Street and Jefferson Street, between 800 South and 900 South. At the public hearing, the Transportation Division will receive comments from residents and property owners regarding the proposed area boundaries, as well as the appropriate rules and regulations, parking restrictions, issuance of permits, fees, and other pertinent matters. A map of the proposed RPP Area #11 is shown on the reverse side of this notice. The proposed restrictions for the area of expansion are as follows: Both sides and a portion of Washington Street and Jefferson Street, between 800 and 900 South a) Type of restriction: 2-hour parking, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM; No parking outside of these hours (RPP permits exempt from restriction) b) Effective days: Weekdays, weekends, and holidays Only residents and owners of properties that front the streets shown on the map are eligible to obtain permits. The proposed number of permits issued shall be up to three regular permits and two guest permits per single-family residence. Regular permits shall be purchased annually for a fee of $49.00 per permit and the guest permits are free of charge. Fees are subject to change annually. Updated fees can be found on the City's Consolidated Fee Schedule. If you are unable to attend the public hearing but still want to provide comments, you may submit your comments by mail, telephone, email, or in-person on or before the public hearing on September 26th, 2024.
