TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH ORDINANCE NO. 24-07 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TAYLORSVILLE ADDING THE NAME 'CONSTITUTION BOULEVARD' TO 2700 WEST FROM 4700 SOUTH TO LONGMEADOW DRIVE. WHEREAS, the Taylorsville City Council (the 'Council') met during its regularly scheduled meeting on August 21, 2024, to consider, among other things, adding the name 'Constitution Boulevard' to 2700 West from 4700 South to Longmeadow Drive; and WHEREAS, TAYLORSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE Chapter 14.60 allows the City to name, or change the name of, a public place including, but not limited to, City streets; and WHEREAS, pursuant to TAYLORSVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE § 14.60.030, the City formed a Naming Committee to recommend to the City Council a name of a public place or to change the name thereof; and WHEREAS, the Naming Committee has recommended to the City Council that the name 'Constitution Boulevard' be added to 2700 West from 4700 South to Longmeadow Drive; and WHERAS, after careful consideration, the City Council has determined that it would be in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City to add the name 'Constitution Boulevard' to 2700 West through the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Taylorsville City Council that the recommended name 'Constitution Boulevard' is hereby approved and shall be added to 2700 West from 4700 South to Longmeadow Drive. This ordinance, assigned Ordinance No. 24-07, shall take effect on September 17, 2024.
