CITY OF SOUTH JORDAN ART'S COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA SOUTH JORDAN CITY HALL - OAK CONFERENCE ROOM THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 at 7:00 PM Notice is hereby given that the South Jordan Art's Council will hold a meeting on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in person in the City Hall, Oak Conference Room, located at 1600 W. Towne Center Drive, South Jordan, Utah. Persons with disabilities requesting assistance should contact the City Recorder at least 24 hours prior to the meeting. Times listed are approximate and may be accelerated or delayed. Mission: 'Create life-long appreciation for the Arts for the residents of the City of South Jordan.' Vision: 'Provide opportunities for individuals and families to experience the Arts through education, participation, public works of art, and performance.' A. Welcome, Roll Call, and Introduction: By Chair, Laura Gaillard B. Minute Approval: B.1. August Minutes C. New Business: C.1. Dueling Pianos recap- Next year they have Friday Sep 5 available. That date is on hold for us if Arts Council would like to approve it for 2025. C.2. Plein Air recap- A few artists expressed making this a separate event from get to the river so we can find new locations. Can we add it to 'Art on the Park' at the end of May? C.3. Quilt Show 2025- Cannot be outdoors in May with the new 'Art in the Park', can we move it to August with a Farmers market, and switch the time of year for Quilt Show and Plein Air. C.4. Light the Night- Does Arts Council want to do the Ornaments again. C.5. October Meeting- will be the FY25/26 budget and planning meeting. Please come prepared with any new ideas and thoughts you have for the next fiscal year. C.6. New Program, Proposal Form- Going forward all new Arts Council program ideas need to be brought up with this form.
