Notice & Agenda Notice is hereby given that the Hanksville Town Council will hold its regularly scheduled Council Meeting on the 5th day of September 2024 At the Hanksville Community Center; meeting shall begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. The agenda shall be as follows: Pledge of Allegiance Prayer Roll Call Approval of Minutes from prior meetings Report of officers - Council Member Mona Wells - Cemetery, Park and Gun Range Council Member Morgan Roberts - Buildings Council Member Eric Wells - Water and Sewer Council Member Robert Gilner - Roads Mayor Jeffren T. Pei Clerk - Lisa Wells Treasurer - Jessica Alvey Planning Commission report Public Hearing regarding purchase of a 0.447 acre tract of surplus property from the Utah Department of Transportation. The property is located at the junction of SR-24 and SR-95 in Hanksville, UT. The intended use of the property is a parking area with information kiosk detailing points-of-interest to the traveling public and trailhead information and also in the future a tourist travel center building Tabled Business: None New Business: Susan Wells - Let's be neighbors Wayne County Commissioners - Discuss the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement between Wayne County and Hanksville Town for EMS services Eric Wells - Town Maintenance Manager - Request from council to pay for his private insurance premium. Amend Planning Commission Ordinance # 2002-1 to reflect additional members, term in office and meeting schedule Resolution 24-03 purchase of real property from UDOT Public Comment: Optional Closed Session may be held pursuant to UCA 52-4-205 for strategy session to discuss the purchase of UDOT property at junction of Hwy-24 & Hwy-95.
