Call to Order: 9:00AM Paul Martino called the meeting to order. Present: Paul Martino, Dale Askew, Dave Johnson, Pam Borgos, Richard West, Clayton Carr

Review Last Meetings Minutes:
Chairman Martino asked the board members if they had any concerns or issues with the minutes from the last meeting and after hearing none he called for a motion to approve the minutes as stated. Dave Johnson moved for approval with a second from Clay Carr. Motion passed.
Financial Reports:
Dale Askew presented the Interim Financial Report with Comparison With Current Year Budget amounts for the period ended September 1, 2024. The main topic of discussion among the board members centered around the numbers associated the annual pancake breakfast fund raiser held the day before Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Fire Station. After a lengthy discussion board member and treasurer Pam Borgos motioned for approval of the financial reports as presented with a second from Clay Carr. Motion passed.
Budget request as submitted by Fire Chief Ensor:
The Chief requested that the board adopt the current year budget amounts as the tentative budget for next year 2025. Dale Askew advised the board that this is common practice for this Fire District and that the board and members from the public will have an opportunity to comment on it at a Public Hearing now scheduled for November 2, 2024. The board will also have an opportunity to make any changes at the conclusion of the public hearing.
Chief Ensor Items and Concerns: Fire Chief Ensor informed the Board that she recently dismissed one of the volunteer firefighters from active duty for insubordination in failing to carry through with direct orders from the chief and failure to complete required annual training in order to remain certified as a volunteer firefighter. The Chief also informed the board as to the current status of the two ongoing capital projects, metal siding for the main fire station building and the slide in unit for the Defender UTV.

Saturday November 2, 2024-9AM (Public Hearing on the 2025 Budget) will be held at the Fire Station.
