- SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION SALT LAKE CITY COUNCIL SYNOPSIS OF SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE 60 of 2024 The Salt Lake City Council at its August 13, 2024, meeting adopted an ordinance that prohibited distribution centers on the former North Temple Landfill site at 6780 West North Temple Street, located within the Northwest Quadrant Overlay. The proposal added a new definition for 'Distribution Center,' as well as prohibited distribution-related uses on the site. The intent of the proposal was to avoid the concentration of a single land use and to allow for diverse uses as outlined in the Northwest Quadrant Master Plan.
