Town Council Meeting August 21st, 2024 Cannonville Town held their monthly board meeting Wednesday, August 21st, 2024 at 7:00 pm in the town hall. Public in Attendance: Cherie Scoffield, Ramona Morreale, Erik McDonald, and Deputy Klancy Ott. Board Members: Stewart Ivie, Melanie Ott, and John Morreale, Alma Fletcher was excused. Agenda will be as follows: Budget Review: Mayor reported the budget to the council. Motion to approve by Stewart, seconded by Melanie, all in favor. Pledge: Clyde Heath Prayer: Mayor Scoffield Reading and Approval of minutes. Motion by Mayor, approved by Stewart, seconded by John, all in favor. Public: Deputy Ott reported the county is seeing an increasing number of moving transits. He encouraged the town to be aware of individuals who maybe passing through to contact the Sheriff's office if something is suspicious. He also reported Sheriff Houston would like the town to reach out if we need help with cleaning up after resent floods. Mayor's Items: Mayor reported on the audits that have been going on. The town has completed everything and is now up to date and in compliance with the state. He reported the town has hired Clyde Heath as the Town Treasure. He also made a motion for the board to approve 2500.00 for a new computer and software for the town. Melanie approved it, with Stewart seconded, all in favor. Mayor has asked Erik McDonald to help with rezoning. The subdivision and rezoning meeting will be held next month September 18th at 6:00 pm. He also reported SITCA is coming on 9-10-2024 to report. Roads: John reported he met with Anne Excell to get the street signs printed and installed. Mayor made a motion for the board to approve this project not to exceed 10000.00. Motion by Stewart, seconded by Melanie, all in favor. Adjournment: 8:02
