HYDE PARK CITY COUNCIL MID-TERM VACANCY
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of a Midterm City Council Vacancy in Hyde Park, Utah. Any person interested in serving as a City Council Member and meeting the following eligibility and residency requirements is hereby invited to complete an application. The appointed City Council Member will serve through the vacated term of Council Member Kevin Flint ending December 31, 2025.
Eligibility and Residency Requirements:
1) Candidates must be a United States citizen at time of filing for candidacy.
2) Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the appointment.
3) Candidates must be a legal resident of the municipality for 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of appointment.
4) Candidate must be a registered voter of the municipality.
Pursuant to Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, or any person convicted of treason or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to vote or hold elective office is restored as provided by statute.

Public Meetings Notice:
Meeting for Interviews: The City Council will hold a regular council meeting on Wednesday September 11, 2024, starting at 7:00 P.M. to interview and select the candidates. This meeting will be held at the Hyde Park City Office Building, 113 East Center, Hyde Park, Utah. Interviews will be done in person.
