Cleveland Town Council Meeting Pending Minutes July 1, 2024 The regular meeting of the Cleveland Town council was held at the Public Safety Building located at 130 W Main in Cleveland, Utah, on Monday, July 1, 2024 at 7:00 pm. In attendance were: Kristen Vose, Danae Jensen, Breann Cowley. Excused were Chance Thompson and Mayor Wilson. Public Attendance: Zac Jensen and Savannah Eley. Called to order at 7:05 pm. Minutes: Breann Cowley made a motion to approve the June Public Hearing, LBA, and Town Council meeting minutes from June 6, 2024 council meeting. Seconded by Danae' Jensen. All were in favor, motion passed. Public Comments/Questions: None Item #1 Adopt proposed tax rate of 0.000479 with total revenue of $13,689. Clerk explained this is the tax rate set by county for property taxes. Breann Cowley made a motion to accept tax rate of 0.000479 with a total revenue of $13,689. Seconded by Danae' Jensen. Roll Call Vote: Breann Cowley-yes, Kristen Vose-yes Danae Jensen-yes. All were in the affirmative, motion passed. Item #2 Approve use of Utah Cyber Center services for cyber security for Town computers. Email was sent out to council. It is a free program for municipality governments. Breann Cowley made a motion to approve the use of Utah Cyber Center for cyber security for town computers. Second by Danae' Jensen. All were in favor, motion approved. Item #3 Amend June 30,2024 budget (general and enterprise). Heather Holt, treasurer, explained that it is a revision to the final budget for the 2024 budget and went over some of the categories. Motion made by Breann Cowley to approve the revised budget for June 2024. Second by Danae' Jensen. All were in favor, all were in the affirmative, motion passed. Item #4 Approve bills and city financials. Motion made by Breann Cowley to pay the bills. Second by Danae' Jensen. Roll call vote: Breann Cowley-yes, Danae' Jensen-yes, Kristen Vose-yes. Motion passed. Item #5 Council Reports. Chance Thompson: (LEPC): nothing Danae' Jensen: nothing Preston Wilson: (CVSSD, EEMS): nothing Kristen Vose (PZ): No Planning and Zoning yet. Mayor Preston Wilson just texted that we need to order bubble gum and ice cream sandwiches. With the flooding in the wash, does anyone know of any grants for this? Clerk, Nancy Livingston, explained that Lowell Gardner was going to help with it and that they would try to pull in DNR. He is meeting with the mayor next week. Breann Cowley (Rec): no meeting yet, but will get score cards and basketballs from rec. Item #6 Adjourn Meeting Kristen Vose Adjourned the meeting. Nancy Livingston, Clerk
