REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS
FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES
Sevier County requests Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from firms who are interested in providing engineering, planning, and project management related services to Sevier County from 2024 to the end of 2027.
The selected firm will make initial evaluations of potential projects, including revenue generating projects, as directed, and assist the County to advance desired projects to the point they can qualify for and obtain funding. Once construction of a project is completed, then the engineer of record will be expected to advise the County on the maintenance and operation of projects it owns, operates, or in which it has an interest.
The Consultant will provide initial design, cost estimates, and bid packages for proposed projects and facilities. The Consultant will prepare bid packages and advise the County on procurement strategies. The Consultant will prepare estimates of construction cost. The consultant will assist the County in the selection of contractor(s). The Consultant will provide preliminary engineering coordination on preliminary environmental issues.
Pre-Proposal Conference
A mandatory pre-conference is scheduled for Monday July 29, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Sevier County Administration Building located at 250 North Main Street, Room B046. The purpose of the meeting is to address questions and any technical items before the closing date. If needed, the County will issue addendums to clarify the SOQ. The due date for submitting the Statement is August 30, 2024 by 5:00 p.m.
