Description/Agenda

Housed in the Department of Economic Development, the Business Advisory Board seeks to encourage economic development and target industry relocation within City boundaries. The board also helps direct City economic policy, promote small business growth, support local entrepreneurship, and assist the City in remaining responsive to the business community. Business Advisory Board meetings are held in a hybrid meeting format. Board Members and staff may participate through an online format, and members of the public may join in person at the City & County Building: 451 South State Street, Room 335, Salt Lake City, UT 84111. Ms. Reichgelt will provide updates on the work of the Department of Economic Development to the Board. 4. Business Items a. Councilmember Chavez-Lopez Introduction 20 minutes Councilmember Chavez-Lopez, District 4, will introduce herself to the Board. b. EDLF Presentation & Proposed Changes 20 minutes Mr. Wright, Project Manager, will present the current EDLF loan program and Ms. Reichgelt will present proposed changes to the EDLF loan program to the Board. c. Open Streets 2024 5 minutes Mr. Makowski, Assistant Director of Business Development, will provide an Open Streets update to the Board. 5. City Council Announcements 15 minutes a. Budget Summary, Fiscal Year 2025, Ms. Rowland b. Downtown Sports, Entertainment, Culture, and Convention District, Ms. Rowland 6. BAB Member Announcements 15 minutes a. BAB Letter to Mayor and City Council, Mr. Robertson Adjournment
