Midway City Open Space Advisory Committee (OSAC) Meeting July 10, 2024 Notice is hereby given that the Midway City Open Space Committee Meeting at 6:00 p.m. July 10, 2024, at the Midway City Offices Call to order. Welcome and introductions. Courtland Nelson, Chairman. 1. Adoption of minutes from June 5th and April 3rd meetings. 2. Public comments. 3. Updates on Midway Open Space actions. Certified Land Trusts (CLT's) and landowner updates requests. A closed session may be requested. Discussion and possible action. a. Mayor Johnson (invited), Councilman Payne and staff will share their views on recent City activities and actions. -update on resident survey RFP and data collection- Michael Henke and Katie Villani. Discussion. -City Council action regarding survey and upcoming steps- Mayor Johnson and Councilman Payne. -discussion regarding timelines and events for public involvement. b. Preserve Midway (Brad Winegar and Lori Stone- invited). Three areas of focus- 1) Social Media Public education awareness for the next 4-6 weeks, then more focused once open space bond is announced, 2) Volksmarch (9 14 2024, 3) Town Hall meetings (TBD). 4. Wasatch Open Lands Board- Steve Stevens. Discussion regarding Wasatch Co. actions and funding. 5. Utah Open Lands- Wendy Fisher (invited). Discussion regarding Midway projects and Heber Valley issues. 6. Summit Lands Cons.- Cheryl Fox (invited). Update on Heber Valley and Wasatch Back issues. Discussion. 7. Adjournment.
