Description/Agenda
Public Notice is hereby given that the Town of Leamington has a position for Cemetery, Town Hall, and Parks Maintenance and Cleaning The town has an approved budget of 5,220 dollars for town hall cleaning and cemetery and park maintenance. An immediate opening for this position is available part-time with a flexible schedule to conduct light cleaning of the town hall year-round, cemetery, and park lawn maintenance mainly during the summer, and on occasion medium to heavy cleaning and maintenance if required and/or directed by the Town Mayor. The maximum number of labor hours for the year is 348, at a rate of 15 dollars per hour. These hours can be performed at any time, on a flexible schedule, as long as the following requirements are met each month. The worker must provide notice to the Mayor and ensure that the town hall cleaning and maintenance of the cemetery and park lawns are completed as scheduled. Cleaning of the town hall will be expected within a few days before and after reservation events, and the Town Council Member over Facilities shall provide the employee with the dates of scheduled events so that this requirement can be met. During summer, cemetery and park lawn maintenance will be completed on alternating weeks and twice a month, from May 15th to September 15th. The cemetery will be prepared for the Memorial Day service the week before Memorial Day. The town hall, parks, and rodeo grounds will be prepared prior to Labor Day for the Leamarado Day Celebration. Payments will be made at a set 435 dollars as a monthly wage for twelve months. If the 348 yearly labor hours requirement is not met, payments may be withheld at the direction of the Mayor and Town Council. Suppose all work hours are completed before the end of the year. In that case, additional labor will only be required if the town council approves additional hourly pay and the employee agrees to provide extra work hours to support the town. If you are interested in filling this position, contact Leamington Town Mayor Russ Finlinson at (707) 738-5996
