Cleveland Town Council Meeting Approved Minutes June 6, 2024 The regular meeting of the Cleveland Town council was held at the Public Safety Building located at 130 W Main in Cleveland, Utah, on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 7:00 pm. In attendance were: Kristen Vose, Danae Jensen, Breann Cowley, and Mayor Wilson on phone. Chance Thompson was excused. Public Attendance: Zac Jensen and Savannah Eley. Called to order at 7:07 pm. Minutes: Breann Cowley made a motion to approve the minutes from May 9, 2024 council meeting. Seconded by Danae' Jensen. All were in favor, motion passed. Public Comments/Questions: None Item #1 Approve/Deny business license for Zac Jensen and Savannah Eley. Need business license for an outfitting business for hunts. House will just be for office work. Business name 2J Outfitters. There will be no signs or parking needed. Dogs are outside of town at another residence. Danae' Jensen made a motion to approve the business license for Zac and Savannah. Second by Breann Cowley. All were in favor, motion passed. Item #2 Adopt June 30, 2024-2025 budget (general, enterprise, local building authority, and cemetery). Brann Cowley made a motion to adopt the 2024-2025 budget. Second by Danae' Jensen. Roll Call Vote: Danae' Jensen-yes, Breann Cowley-yes, Mayor Wilson-yes, Kristen Vose-yes. All were in the affirmative, motion passed, budget adopted. Item #3 Adopt MOU with fire district. Mayor Wilson explained that this is an agreement between the Town and the Emery Special Fire District for maintenance of fire trucks. Breann Cowley made a motion to adopt the MOU with Emery District. Second by Danae' Jensen. All were in favor, motion passed. Item #4 Accept/Deny sidewalk bids. Received only 1 bid from B. Hansen Construction for $23,341.50. Sidewalks are located at 600 E 100 N to the bridge. From 770 E 300 N to TSJ Construction fence, and a driveway fix on 100 S for Turner's. Breann Cowley made a motion to accept the bid from B. Hansen Equipment for $23,341.50 for sidewalks. Second by Danae' Jensen. Roll Call Vote: Danae' Jensen-yes, Breann Cowley-yes, Mayor Wilson-yes, Kristen Vose-yes. All were in the affirmative, motion passed. Item #5 Make decision about Town's preferences regarding three items on the Hansen subdivision initial review report that was emailed to you. After a brief explanation of the 2 forms of processes for applying for a subdivision, Council decided to go with the combined process for subdivision application process. Item #6 Approve bills and City Financials for payment. Motion made by Breann Cowley to approve paying bills and city financials. Seconded by Danae' Jensen. Roll Call: Mayor Wilson-yes, Kristen Vose-yes, Breann Cowley-yes, Danae Jensen-yes. All were in the affirmative, motion passed. Item #7 Council Reports. Chance Thompson: (LEPC): nothing Danae' Jensen: nothing Preston Wilson: (CVSSD, EEMS): Fence up at dump. State will put road dirt on his property and fill in holes or put where new sidewalks go, waiting on cement blocks, was decision made on bouncy house? Council replied that yes, they chose one. Has food, plane, and person for Saturday games. Katie Player will be doing 5K. Fireworks are here and sandbags are getting ready. UDOT moved signs on west side of town and put up larger. East side waiting on blue stakes. This weekend is cleanup day. Kristen Vose (PZ): Planning and Zoning Broderick's asked about tearing down a house. Tracy Randall gave them the information from the County for demolition. Breann Cowley (Rec): nothing from Rec. Residents asking about weeds and if they are being sprayed. Mayor explained that the maintenance person is spraying, but pump broke and had to be replaced. Breann stated she will do parade on July 20 for Melissa. Item #8 Adjourn Meeting Breann Cowley made a motion to adjourn. Seconded by Danae' Jensen. All were in favor. Meeting adjourned. Nancy Livingston, Clerk
