Advertisement for Bid 2024 CHIP AND SEAL COAT PROJECT South Ogden City Corporation RECEIPT OF BIDS: Sealed bids will be accepted at the Office of South Ogden City Municipal Office, 3950 South Adams Avenue, South Ogden, Utah, 84403, until 1:30 p.m. on June 13, 2024, for the 2024 Chip and Seal Coat Project for South Ogden City Corporation. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of installing standard crushed aggregate chip seal w/ fog coat on approximately 123,253 S.Y. of existing road surface. The work performed shall consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and all other items required to complete the Work. LOCATION OF WORK: The work is located at various locations in South Ogden City. COMPLETION OF WORK: All work specified in the Contract Documents shall be completed prior to August 31, 2024. OPENING OF BIDS: Bids will be publicly opened at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the aforementioned office of the South Ogden City Municipal Building. OBTAINING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Bidding Documents may be obtained electronically from Wasatch Civil Consulting Engineering upon application and payment of a $30.00 non-refundable fee at https://www.wasatchcivil.com/ listed under Bid Packages. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent of the total bid price. The check or bond shall be made payable to South Ogden City Corporation as a guarantee that the bidder if their bid is accepted, will promptly execute the contract. Other bonds required for the successful bidder include furnishing a satisfactory, faithful performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. WAITING PERIOD BEFORE AWARD: A waiting period of three weeks from the date of opening of bids to award of contract may be required. Bidders shall assume full responsibility for and shall guarantee the bid price during this period and make certain the time period stated in their bid does not restrict the proposal guarantee. PROJECT ADMINISTRATION: All questions relative to this project prior to the opening of bids, shall be directed to the Project Engineer. It shall be understood, however, that no specification interpretations will be made by telephone, nor will any 'or equal' products be considered for approval prior to award of contract. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: South Ogden City Corporation reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in a bid, and to make awards in the interest of the City.
