Mammoth Creek Special Service Fire District DBA - Mammoth Creek Volunteer Fire District (MCVFD) Agenda for Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12 PM MST (or immediately following the Mammoth Creek Home Owners' Association meeting starting at 10 AM) at the Fire Station Call to Order Present Others Present Review Last Meetings Minutes Election of Officers Financial Reports Board Member Training-The Office of the State Auditor, in cooperation with the Utah Association of Special Districts, provides training for members of district governing boards and others as applicable. This training is required for new board members by Utah Code 17B-1-312 which states that each member of a board of trustees of a local district shall, within one year after taking office, complete training developed by the Office of the State Auditor in cooperation with the Utah Association of Special Districts. A member of a board of trustees 'takes office' each time the member is elected or appointed to a new term, which typically is every 4 years.The training is designed to help governing boards increase their understanding of their role, functions, and responsibilities. In addition annual training regarding Utah's Open and Public Meetings Act is required for all Board Members every year. An online training module that fulfills these requirements is available on the State Auditor's website at training.auditor.utah.gov. Mutual Aid Agreement: The Fire Chief will be submitting a request to the Board for adoption and approval of the Schedule of Fees contained in the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with nearby jurisdictions for mutual aid. Chief Ensor Items and Concerns Board 2024 Meeting Schedule Sunday September 1, 2024 9:00AM Labor Day weekend at the Fire Station. Saturday October 26, 2024 9AM at the Fire Station. The Board will conduct a public hearing on next year's budget at this meeting. Adjourn
