- Public Notice City Council Vacancy Seat Public notice is hereby given that Orangeville City has one vacant city council position due to the recent Mayoral Appointment of Shaun Bell (effective on May 7, 2023). Pursuant to Utah Code Ann. ¶ 20A-1-510, within 30 days of resignation, the city council must appoint a registered voter who resides in the municipality and is qualified to fill the unexpired term of each vacated office. If you are interested, please submit your written application for consideration to the Orangeville City Recorder, Amanda Lake no later than Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. Applications can be acquired at City Hall, 25 North Main. The city council shall meet in an open meeting, later that evening, on June 5, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., at City Hall, [25 N. Main] to interview each individual whose name is submitted and who meets the qualifications for office under Utah Code Ann. ¶10-3-301. The city council shall vote in open session.
